The Paris agreement is a big step forward, but the rest is up to us.
This month we continue to prepare for an upcoming action in May to coordinate with Bill McKibben's 350.org efforts. We will continue to together with other organizations to maximize our impact.
If you are on our Climate Action mailing list, you will receive the agenda early next week (probably Monday).
Our Guest Speaker, Erin Axelrod from LIFT Business Design will present:
Realizing the Regenerative Economy
Entrepreneurs across California are breaking barriers to solve issues of drought, food waste, food justice, materialism and more -- while making money. This talk offers a vision of a future “next” economy that is already being built, organized according to key areas of resilience including food, shelter, fiber, water, energy. I will describe trends in company human culture, and emergent & unconventional patterns of capital raising such as the trend of increased financing for worker-owned cooperatives or direct public offerings (DPOs). You will walk away having reexamined your values and achievable shifts you can take today to begin experiencing and creating the next economy. Seeking a permaculture business idea? You will walk away with at least one new idea to explore. Already have one? You’ll leave with clear next steps to recast and/or scale up your current business idea.
